Configurazione Router Pirelli Drg A226m Fastweb Italia Rating: 7,6/10 523votes Hi PaulWebster if you look on the Access Point Mode setup page you will see clearly. Note: When set to 'AP Client' and 'Wireless Bridge' mode, this device will only communicate with another Linksys Access Point (WAP54G).

When set to 'Wireless Repeater' mode, this device will only communicate with another Linksys Access Point (WAP54G) and Linksys Wireless-G Router (WRT54G). The WAP54G is NOT guaranteed to repeat any other device apart from a WRT54G and a WAP54G. Regards Fred (Edited post for guideline compliance.

Hi Daniel, This configuration is not supported in Lightweight Mode; Q. I have an existing wireless network (autonomous APs) with an access-point that is configured as a repeater. This network is to be migrated to a LWAPP wireless network. Can I use the LWAPP APs as repeaters? LWAPP APs must join a controller, and they do not support a repeater mode since they all have to have some connectivity to the controller first.

Cisco autonomous APs can be configured as repeaters, but due to the reduction in effective bandwidth available to end clients, repeaters are not the most highly recommended configuration. While any Cisco Aironet AP or LAP model can be used in either LWAPP or autonomous mode, in order to make that change, a software reimage is required. It is provided by my ISP and they suggest I stick with it or I lose my IPTV settings. I also have a Color LaserJet 2600n which is connected via USB cable to my AirPort Extreme Base Station (b/g, not n). Pirelli and AEBS are far apart due to furniture and other 'topography'. Here is the inconvenience I'm trying to resolve: I want to print something from my MacBook Pro, so to do that I have to go to my WiFi menulet, change from my Pirelli network to my AEBS network, lose internet connectivity at that point, then print to my LJ2600n, then switch back to my Pirelli router and rejoin the internet connection.

So I decide to setup WDS between the two, so that the printer is available within my Pirelli net. I nagged my ISP and they unlocked WDS on my Pirelli (yes, they lock it by default.), then I enabled it, entered my AEBS MAC address in the WDS page of my Pirelli, then switched to my AEBS wifi (which at this point is still a very much separate wifi net), fired up AirPort Utility (AU) and instructed the AEBS to Participate in a wireless network, named its SSID exactly as the Pirelli's, and entered the Pirelli's MAC address in the WDS main field of AU. I'm pretty sure I haven't grasped the principles of IP addressing across the two pieces of hardware, though.

I tried a few shots in the dark, and it didn't work. When I pick up the AEBS signal, I lose internet connectivity.

My Pirelli uses 192.168.1.x IP addressing. Currently, my MacBook Pro is set to use 192.168.1.201 manually. What changes do you suggest I implement both on the MBP and on the two access points to fix connectivity? If needed I can upload screenshots of my settings as they currently are, if that helps you help me. As always, many thanks, people.

Controls. Hi all, I am new in that forum and couldn't find any information I need.

I am trying to set up a WRE54g ver. 3 as a repeater for my T-Com Speedport W700V I am running on WPA / WPA2 with AES selected and channel 2. Passphrase is ok and when I have the repeater switched off in the router I can connect to the repeater(ping is ok) via WLAN from that PC which is connected to the router via LAN and can even see the internet from that PC that is LAN-plugged into the setup input of the WRE54.!! LINK Lamp and Activity Lamp blue, everything seems to be ok. As soon as I switch the repeater - mode in my router to on the Link Lamp turns red and I cannot connect to the router / Internet via WLAN. Ping doesn't work either. I apprechiate any help from the community!

Greetings Wilfred Hi again, after 2 hours of trying and trying I tried to leave things as they are: let the repeater having switched off in the router, make SSID not visible any more and let anything else 'as is' ( WPA / WPA2 with AES selected and channel 2. Passphrase ) and. Oh wonder: things are working well now! It's really amazing.:-) But, I think, this was not the intension of the W700V?!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! We have 3 WAP54G, firmware 3,04, the first connet to the network and in AP mode, the second without wird, mode Repeate of the first, and now the problem we try to install the third in Repeater mode of the second (that is in repeater mode of the one), ok the mac, same ssid, same chanel no security, whe we connect to the 3erd no ping to the rest of the network, and if we make ping from the net to the 3, dont work, the first ap and the 2 (repeater) works fine.Is not possible repeat the signal of the repeatthanks. I have a wrt54g v3 and the wmp300n about 250ft away in a separate building.

B-401

I can get a signal strength around 54-58 but am trying to move the wmp300n pc another 30 ft away. I am considering an antenna for the wrt54g such as hga7s but i am not sure how much range i would gain. There are no buildings between to place a wre54 range expander. I have a spare wre54 and have tried it also, but the signal keeps dropping. Also i hear they cut the speed down quite a bit. I would like to get an antenna that isn't external if possible ( hard to get wiring to outside wall).

Anyone know if the hga7s would do what i need? Should i be going for a directional or omni directional antenna? I purchased a WRE54-G Wireless-G Range Expander to help me with a problem when I am camping. When I pull into a campground with wireless internet and try to connect from inside my RV Ialways have a very poor signal because of the aluminum walls of the RV or distance from the router. I thought that I could use the WRE54 as a signal booster that I could place in a window or outside the door to get the signal to my computer inside the camper.

The WRE54has to be hard wired to the routerto set it up. I do not have access to the router inside the campground manager's office,so does anybody know of hardware that receive a signal from a router and amplifies it without needing to ever be wired to the router?

Thanks, Dave. You have to use a mirror and a DNS trick. Setup your mirror (mirror01.acme.com with IP 192.168.1.145) to replicate your master transmitter/load balanced farm (with IP 10.10.1.102) On your repeater(s) that you want to repeat from the mirror: either make an etc/hosts file entry or a local DNS modification so that tx.acme.com resolves to the mirror's IP address of 192.168.1.145 192.168.1.145 tx.acme.com additionally you will want the master TX and mirrors to replicate the full repeater policy.there is a property you can set.you'll have to look it up in the reference guide. Hi, What is the make and model of the repeater? Try these steps to install the wireless repeater. Position your wireless repeater near an area that does not have good wireless connectivity or an area that you need to extend your wireless signal range to.

Plug your wireless repeater into power. Wait for the wireless repeater to power up completely. Insert the installation disc provided with the wireless repeater. Some wireless repeaters use a Web-based configuration screen similar to the wireless routers, while others use one-touch configuration. Follow the on-screen instructions from the installation wizard. The wireless repeater may be able to retrieve all of the wireless network settings on its own.

If it is unable to do so, it will ask you for the wireless network name, known as an SSID, as well as the type of wireless encryption you're using and the password. You may also need the IP and MAC address of the router to complete the installation. If you need further assistance to install the repeater, you may need to get in touch with the manufacturer of the repeater. Hope the information helps. The only time that WRE54 makes a connection to the WRT100 is when the Wireless Network Mode (under Wirless Settings) is set to BG-MIXED and the Standard Channel is identified. If you selete MIXED for the Network mode all other setting within the WRT100 are set to auto and the WRG54 does not make a connection to the WRT100. So if you have a mixed enivorment with N B and G. The WRE54 will be useless.Currently the expander does make a connection to the WRT100 when the Network Mode is set to BG-Mixed and the Standard Channel is identified.Any Updates that will correct this commmunication problem would be benificial.

So the one could have a truely mixed environment.

I have an Pirelli PRGAV4202N Access and WIFI Router Network with from Telekom and I want to expand the network with Airort Express. It is not posible. Configuring 'expand network' the AP Express can not be reached and the yellow light is blinking. Even though I can see the AP in the Pirelli Management tool as connected (IP Adress available and ping test works) If I configure 'join a network' the AP Express works (green light), but there is no expansion functionality. I cannot reach the AP from the device. I have been using my linksys router for more than a year thru CAble modem connection. This week I changed to an DSL internet and the provider gave me a modem that is also a router.

I tried too many this to connect the linksys using the set up disc but do not works. A friend of my told me about convert the linksys router to an access point to have wireless connection and use only the other router to wired internet. I don't know if that is the solution, or if there is a way to have both router working togheter. The DSL modem/router is a Pirelli discuss DRG A115. The IP is static. I really appreciate help on this problem. 1.Before you attempt to use any Wi-Fi network, find out what the SSID, Channel, Mode and WEP key are.

Some Wi-Fi locations do not require a WEP key. Many Wi-Fi providers have this information on their web site or when you purchase access you will be provided the information.2. Ensure you have a firewall program installed and running. This will protect your data.3. Start up your laptop and once booted, look for the Wi-Fi network icon in the bottom right of the screen.4. Click on the Wifi Connection icon on bottom right of screen and you should see a window that indicates connection, strength and duration. Click on the Properties tab.

Securing Your Wireless Gateway Network Updated on August 28, 2014 at 1:58 PM From Comcast Guides.IntroductionProtect your wireless home network from unwanted outside users, viruses and other threats. Overview If you leave your wireless network unprotected, other people can use your Internet connection, access files on your computers, and even get their hands on private information like passwords and credit card numbers. What is the Admin Tool Username and Password used for?If you have a wireless gateway, it is important that you familiarize yourself with the Admin Tool.

The Admin Tool allows you to adjust:Your network settingsYour Wi-Fi SSID (network name)Your Wi-Fi Network Key (password)Parental ControlsLogging into the Admin Tool allows you to view or change your home network settings. Every wireless gateway comes with the same default Admin Tool username and password. Therefore, Comcast recommends changing the Admin Tool password to further secure your home network.

Steps to achieve this are outlined below.Default Username (case sensitive): adminDefault Password (case sensitive): passwordNote: The username and password that you will use to login to the Admin Tool is not the same as the Network Name (SSID) and Network Key (Password) that you use to gain access to your wireless network. Change Your Wireless Gateway Admin Tool Password Open a web browser and enter the web address This will take you to the Admin Tool for your wireless gateway.Note:When attempting to change your Wi-Fi Network Name (SSID) and/or Password using the portal, you must either be using a hard-wired/Ethernet connection or you must be connected to your in-home Wi-Fi network (not XFINITY WiFi or XFINITY Home Wi-Fi connections). If you change Wi-Fi settings while you are on your home network, you will lose access to the Wi-Fi session and will need to reconnect using your new Wi-Fi Network Name (SSID) and/or Password.Enter“admin”in the username field and“password”in the password field.ClickLogin.Click Change Password at the top right.Enter a new password in the New Password field. The password must be at least 8 characters long. It should contain both upper and lower case letters and at least 1 number.Re-enter your new password in theRe-enter New Passwordfield and clickSave.Note: Make sure you remember your new password to access the Admin Tool in the future. Change Your Network Name (SSID) and Network Password (Key) Every wireless gateway comes with a unique Network Name (SSID) and Network Password (Key), located on the bottom label.

We’ve optimized this information to secure your wireless network, and recommend that you leave this login information unchanged. For more information on how to change your Network Name (SSID) and Network Password (Key), see Wireless Gateway Guides.

Your Wireless Gateway's Default Security Mode The default security mode for everywireless gatewayis WPAWPA2-PSK (TKIP/AES), which provides optimal security and performance for newer computers. This is a form of WPA security, an advanced mode of wireless security that is extremely difficult to bypass.PSK stands for Pre-Shared Key, which means you get all the benefits of WPA security without the complicated set-up it otherwise requires.

If you have an older computer, you may need to change the security mode to one that is compatible with your device. WPA security is incompatible with some older operating systems. If you don’t use a wireless gateway, you can check your security mode at your router’s administration site. I have a US Robotics as the main router and my TC connected wirelessly to the US Robotics. I was previously able to configure it so that my Macbok Pro could access the internet and the TC wirelessly.

Following a sequence of screw-ups after I changed the name of the disk, I lost my previous configuration and now I need to be able to have those three devices connected wirelessly. I am hitting my head for not saving the previous configuration that was working. I have the settings both as join and expand the network working ONLY if the Wifi is open. Can any body advice on the possible things that I should do to make it work WITH WPA2? I am not very keen in leaving my Internet open because TC can't handle encryption. After many days of sorrow and looking around I finally found the right configuration on the TC with US Robotics ADSL modems.

It seems that you can only have 'join a wireless network' which can not be changed in the Manual Setup which only offers create a wireless network, participate in a wireless network and extend a wireless network. So the trick is to go through the wizard and select: join a wireless network and select the time capsule! Yes thanks to a post out there I was able to find the exact solution. Is absurd that you have to select the time capsule as the network to join, but this fixed the problem for me. Time Capsule is really a non tested product. Sembra pi un problema di configurazione del router (la rete cablata non parla con la rete wireless), comunque qui sei nel newsgroup sbagliato. Prova a postare la tua richiesta nella sezione Answers. Hi,.Thread moved to appropriate forum. Check with the Router Maker's on-line help (most have excellent help) and their forums for proper setup. Also your ISP can help you set it up.

You may need to do these: References to Vista also apply to Windows 7. Your router would be suspect here, have you updated its firmware as a possible solution?

And I would update your WiFi drivers on the computers. How far are you positioned from the router?

Are there obstructions in the way? Try actually updating your driver and clearing the network logon.

Control Panel - Network - write down make and model of Wifi - double click on it - driver's tab - write down version - click Update Driver (may not do anything as MS is far behind certifying drivers). Then Right Click on Wifi Device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - this will refresh the driver stack. Manually look at manufacturer's sites for drivers - and Device Maker's sites. Installing and updating drivers in Windows7 (updating drivers manually using the methods below is preferred to ensure the latest drivers from System maker and Device makers are found) Download - SAVE - go to where you put it - Right Click - RUN AS ADMIN. You can download several at once however reboot after you install each one. After looking at the System Maker's you can check Device Maker's for even newer versions.

(The ones from System maker become your fallbacks). Repeat above for network card (NIC) and is a good time to get other updated drivers as Windows 7loves updated drivers. I would also disable auto-updates for drivers. If Windows Updates suggests one just HIDE it as they are almost alway old and you can look for drivers manually as needed.

How To Disable Automatic Driver Installation In Windows Vista - Drivers (Window 7 also) - Make sure you know the login details for your wireless router - SSID and Password. You will lose connection when doing this and have to redo your logon.

Control Panel - Network Sharing Center - on Right Side click Customize - Set Network Locations page - on lower left click Merge or delete networkslocations- DELETE ALL instances of your network(and anyothers you no longer use) - REBOOT.Start - Connect To to logon on to Network. Check this: Strange Problem with Internet Connection in Vista (and Windows 7) Windows Vista cannot obtain an IP address from certain routers or from certain non-Microsoft DHCP servers - And: Using the Network troubleshooter in Windows 7 Troubleshoot network connection problems Why can’t I connect to a network? Hope this helps. Different routers are access in different ways and at different addresses. Models from Apple use the Airport Utility program.

Most other routers are accessed through your browser at some specific IP address. Typical router addresses include: There are MANY other possibilities, especially if hte router's config has been modifed from its default setting.

Consult your router's manual for the default address. Another way to get the address is to do an 'ipconfig /all' on your Windows computer and look for the Default Gateway setting on your active connection. Other OS'es similar methods, just find the default gateway setting in your TCP/IP settings on your active connection. Hi all, I changed the wifi channel setting (now 11) on my router some time ago but recently we got a new neighbour and now there is a Sky Sky-ext broadcast networks on different channel numbers(chl 1) (confirmed using inSSIDer) but now various parts of the house the wifi connection drops out. It may be just coincidencebut I have not made any changes to the router or devices (laptop, iphone, ipad etc) As always.

The main area of the house in which we require the wifi is the area that drops out. Should I a) purchase a wifi N extender and config to expand my house wifi network b) request a Sky N router? Hill climb racing cheats unlimited coins ios. (Currently the standard sagem about 2yr old) Any other thoughts or suggestions welcome. But before anyone suggests relocating the router that's not an option with connection to phone line etc.

Hello, i bought his netgear router (N300 model JWNR2000v2). I connected it with the PIRELLI modem/router (provided from our internet service) that is upstairs with an ethernet cable of 15 meters. I suppose it configured itself correctly, the devices that get connected to it have an IP of 10.0.0.x The wired connection (to my pc) works just fine without problems. On the other hand, the wireless connection freezes every 15-20 minutes and i need to restart the router in order to connect again. If i try to connect without restarting the router i get unable to connect. I tried to connect with different devices (iphone, samsung, wiressly from the pc) but the result is the same, the wireless freezes every 15-20 minutes. I tried as many things as i could, according to the information i found on this site, but nothing worked.

I tried scanning for wifi pollution with the program inSSIDer and setting the router on different channels - didnt work I tried changed the IP to static - problem persisted I tried disconecting the wired computer (in case some malaware was swarming the wireless function by calling) - problem persisted I tried changing the security options - problem persisted The only thing i can imagine being wrong is that the configuration isnt correct or bridje mode isnt enabled, but if so how comes that the wired connection works flawlessly? I hope that my netgear router isnt flawed because i bought it from Germany and i live in Greece, so i cant return it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! I've got this persistent problem with using my HP Color LaserJet 2600n.

It is connected via USB cable to my AirPort Extreme Base Station (not the new 'n', just the normal 'g'). Recently I switched ISP and the new one provided their own DSL modem which doubles up as a WiFi access point. So, I am usually connected to the new (Pirelli) WiFi modem/router.

When I want to print, though, I go to my AirPort menulet, switch to the AEBS and hope to see my HP Color LaserJet 2600n in my list of printers. Some times I do, but most of the times I have to re-run the HP Install package, re-scan to add printers, and even then, hopefully my MacBook Pro will see the Bonjour printer. Even when it does see it in the Printer Browser, it is not sure that I'll be able to use the printer.

Just now I have been stuck in a seemingly endless loop of clicking the 'Add' button in Printer Browser, then waiting for a minute while the Printer Setup Utility is shown in red (Not Responding) in Activity Monitor, after which I get the error: 'An error occurred while trying to add the selected printer. Error: -9672 OK'. My other laptop, an old TiBook which is in the same networking environment can currently print on the printer, so it's not a printer problem (at least not at this moment).

At other times, none of the two laptops can connect to the Bonjour printer. Is this erratic behavior normal? Or am I doing something wrong when switching from one wLan to the other?

I have bought Time Capsule and have been unsuccessful in linking it to my Fastwebnet HAG, The TC keeps loosing the internet connection provided by the Fastwebnet HAG (Pirelli).

The setup is as follows: Fastwebnet HAG (not configurable as far as i can see) connects to the ADSL and provides WiFi and Ethernet connections. The iMac connects to the HAG by Ethernet and the MacBook connects via Wifi.

I linked the TC WAN port to one of the HAG Ether ports with an Ethernet cable (I also tried linking it to a TC Ether port) and setup the TC to be a secondary network (as we want to locate it in different part of the house to provide wider wifi coverage). I could then access the TC disk from both the MacBook and the iMac using the new secondary wifi network (for Time Machine etc). The problem is the internet connection, once or twice I managed to get an Internet Connection working via the TC network (by completely rebooting the Fastwebnet HAG) but after a short time this link would drop and could no longer be used for Internet access as if the Fastwebnet was either blocking it or the HAG and the TC were fighting to be in control.

I have tried full resets on the TC and as many setup combinations as made sense to no avail. I have tried the same general setup in a different situation/location (which does not use the Festwebnet ISP) with a Netgear Wifi Modem-Router and it all worked fine so I know it should work in principle and it seems the combination with the Fastwebnet HAG is the problem. Given there appears to be no way you can configure the HAG, are there any suggestions out there how I might configure the TC to get round my problem.
