Microsoft driver downloadDriverWin7

I updated From WIndows 7 to Windows 10 in March; on board sound system worked fine at that point. Since one of the updates this summer (July 12, I think, though it could have been later), the internal speakers do not work; the computer does not recognize the presence of internal speakers (only external speakers and microphone). I have tried using Device Manager to update drivers: sound and audio controllers-HD Audio device-runs the update and says my drivers are up to date (but only registers the external speakers). I have tried searching the HP site for the driver compatible with my setup-no luck. Grundig serial number code calculator v1.00. Can you either help me get to the driver link or suggest another solution? Is it possible to recover and use (e.g.) the driver that I had for Windows 7? Or another earlier operating system?

Sound Driver For Dell

Windows 10 doesn't currently detect the SoundMax audio card in my HP/Compaq nc6320 laptop. It installed a driver for 'high definition audio' but that didn't work, reporting that the audio service wasn't working. The trouble shooter didn't work out what the problem was either. I downloaded an old driver from Softpedia, installed it via Device Manager, and it seemed to work fine: http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/SOUND-CARD/SoundMax/SoundMAX-Integrated-Digital-HD-Audio-Driver-61015140-for-Windows-7-Windows-8.shtml. On my Lenovo 64 bit Thinkcentre M52 after installing w8.1 all I had was 'High Definition Audio' installed and got no sound at all from the speakers.

It said in the sound options the speakers 'were not plugged in' but HDA was working fine, which was incorrect of course as no sound came from the speakers. After a lot of searching I found the answer (on this forum I think but the post was five years old and can't seem to locate it now) I installed Sound Max system and it immediately changed everything and HDA was gone and replaced by soundmax. The speakers now work perfectly and have good sound. My only worry now is, if I upgrade to w10 will it delete Soundmax and revert back to HDA.i hope not, does anyone know?
