I've spent a few hours looking around at the webs for solutions- many that make you run around circles and download things. Not my style.

1. Gta Iv System Requirements

I like a relatively clean, simple-gaming PC. That being said, I've found a solution to my own problem! Problem: Steam would not Launch GTA:IV nor would using LaunchGTA4.exe work. Symptoms: SocialClub failing and closing instantly after verification, despite words like 'success' and 'complete'. Solution: Head into the Steam Directory for GTA4. (C: Program Files (x86) Steam steamapps common Grand Theft Auto IV GTAIV) and right-click 'LaunchGTAIV.exe'.

A window should then pop up offering several options- one in which will say 'Run as Administrator'. The PC should prompt you to allow the program not only to run but allow it through firewall. This may not solve 'everyone's' problems, but it worked on Windows 8 64-bit! Hey folks, got your replies! Make sure you're not running the GTAIV.exe. There seems to be some defense mechanism that requires people to use 'LaunchGTAIV.exe' instead.

@Cobbothewizard Did you go to the directory directly? Diamond and the psychotic neurotics stunts blunts hip hop rar. Is your SocialClub verified online? If not, please do so and then report back to me with any progress. I'll monitor this post for a time to help people out.

@Ratdog Everyone should have one, unless you're on a family PC with multiple accounts. If your account is 'not' set to administrator, you'll have to change those in the control panel section of your PC under User Accounts!
